Here are a few t shirt designs that I made up. Obviously we won’t have the time to make them, but I’ll be putting them in my sketchbook and thought I’d throw them up on here.

If you want to include it in the portfolio then just let me know.

MARTIN

can you print all the business card cards from the blog to the correct playing card side, and the final design.

CHRIS

Can you print the development screen shots of the website at each stage you have either at home or from the blog, and the final solution.

RACHEL

I’ll print the letterhead development stages from the blog, so if anyone has any design they personally made please post them to the blog so i can include them. I’ll also print the individual playing cards we did for ourselves.

the layout below of the four sections is the final layout for the portfolio as it can be adjusted to the A4 or playing card.

SO, for our portfolio we have (bracketed names are who’s printing what):

PAGE 1 - Sam’s previous work, 2x A4 (SAM)

- Client wish list within A4 (CHRIS)

PAGE 6 – Website progress stages, from the blog, probably be more than one page (CHRIS)

PAGE 6.5 - Sam’s Playing card (SAM)

- My playing card (RACHEL)

PAGE 7 – Logo progress, from blog, (SAM)

PAGE 8 – Letterhead progress (RACHEL)

Some of these will obviously take up more than one page, when we mount the images onto A2 just keep the same format for each page.

PLEASE have your images cut up and ready to stick onto the A2 pages we will get from the art shop Thursday.

i really think if this is done, we might just about get a decent mark for this unit.

hey rachel, i know youve got a fair bit of sketchbook stuff to do, so if you email me pics of all the notes you made in meetings, and the dates you made them, ill add them to mine and combine it in a neat little logbook to fit in the portfolio. Hey, maybe il even apply the hands on branding to it a bit.

Thursday at 2? shall i bring the old pitch boards? We should keep the letterhead business card one, as that is final

Submission

Team: 50% – All work to professionally presented in an A2 portfolio

Printed Work – Final A2 display sheets that show your business cards, letterheads, etc. Any three-dimensional work should be photographed and presented as part of an A2 layout. In addition you should provide at least 2 examples of previous work from each team member.
Website – Fully functional website, on CD ready to upload. Start file clearly indicated. Screenshots of the website should also be included in the portfolio.
Team developmental work – A2 mounted identity pitch work. Time management/meetings logbook

Individual: 50% – A3 Research folder

Research -Textual and Visual Research Folders with annotations and analysis

so really pretty much most of the blog need to be in the A2 portfolio, along with screen shots of the website. this needs to be presented to reflect quality and confidence of our work, so i suggest maybe A2 black paper each page should be layouted out ledgably example content:

letterhead and business card progress.

then the final pieces.

things we should have done for the first pitch are:

We need a written design ethos for your team

We need to see your aspirations as a written wish list of clients

Mood board should have been our visual aid for the pitch too.

i really think if this is done, we might just about get a decent mark for this unit.

Pep and prep talk for tomorrow

Hi all, thought I’d mention a couple of things for tomorrow. Firstly, it might be good to get in before 9, maybe even half 8 just to get stuff organised- i didn’t manage to trim down a lot of the prints, and compiling our stuff may take some negoitation. Secondly, print off images at home if you can- the printers may be backed up a bit. Thridly, if we can say all the right stuff and answer all questions competently for 5 mins, it’l be a breeze, which is why conferring before hand in person, maybe loosely reciting a personal paragraph may be good practice. Finally, if you can be bothered, post some pics here, think i may post a few of hand on making type stuff in a bit
